Treasure Hunt: First Things First

Many of us spend our lives chasing security, comfort, and stability, only to find those things hollow in the end. In Matthew 6, Jesus calls His followers to stop striving after temporary things and to seek God's kingdom above everything else. Worry is often a signal that something is out of alignment, that our hearts are anchored in the wrong place. God already knows what you need, and as your Heavenly Father, He is fully capable of providing it. The Greek word for 'seek' in this passage means to pursue intensely and devote yourself completely, and Jesus says that pursuit should be directed toward His kingdom first. A life built around accumulated comfort will eventually feel empty, but a life surrendered to God's purposes carries eternal weight. The question is not whether God can provide for you. The question is whether you are willing to trust Him enough to put His kingdom first.
